In the candlelight.

The moonlight fell across the hall,
Where there glistened a single candle;
In the shadows,
Was the figure of a woman,
Whose beauty was enhanced,
By the games the light played on her.

She looked striking in a blue dress,
One that oozed elegance,
She was my princess,
For she held the key to the throne -
That was my heart.

Romantic was the setting,
Candlelight, flowers, a fabulous ambiance;
I wished to caress her,
Stroke her hair,
And hold her in my arms forever.

Amidst good food and great conversation,
I spent my last night in the town,
With the one I adored,
It was a moment that will stand the test of time,
And remain etched in my memory for eternity.

Love a guy who.. Part 3.

Love a guy who..
Wakes you up every morning,
With a kiss,
While uttering the words you want to hear.

Love a guy who..
Buys you your favourite leopard printed tee,
Inspite of being tight on finances,
Just to see you lighten up with joy.

Love a guy who..
Makes you try scary rides,
Just to blow your fears away,
Mentioning how important it is to try everything in life once.

Love a guy who..
Plays water fights with you,
Not bothering what other people would think,
For being childish he sees as a way of life.

Love a guy who..
Introduces you to a new sport,
Thus making it your obsession,
And to see you enjoy,
Takes you to play it everyday.

Love a guy who..
Cannot bear to see you cry,
Tears roll down his cheeks as well,
When he see you damp and gloomy.

Love a guy who..
Watches late night movies with you,
Just cause you had been aching to watch it,
Inspite of having to wake up early the next day.

Love a guy who..
Helps you shed your inhibitions,
Looks out for you,
Calls your name sweetly,
And most important of all..
Adores, respects and loves you with all his heart and soul,
For it is in such a guy..
That we find our soulmate,
The one who will forever be a part of our life.

Sometimes love isn't enough..

Sound trashing I always got,
For the coffee not being hot enough,
For the missing button on a shirt,
Abused I was,
Now I believe..
Sometimes love isn't enough.

He called me names,
But he said he loved me,
He pushed me around,
Disrespectful he was towards me;
Oh yes..
Love isn't enough.

He hugged me tight,
And unhooked my bra,
Trying to set my body on fire,
But sleep was taking me over,
When I said that out loud,
Forcefully he invaded my body,
Sometimes love isn't enough.

He bought me expensive gifts,
He took me to see new places,
He even called me his jaan,
But when it came down to the basics of being loved,
Respect, adoration, concern..
Zilch.
Indeed, sometimes 'love' isn't enough.

A guy's dream day.

With a joystick in his hand,
Adorable he looks,
For on entering the house,
Squeal he did,
On seeing an Xbox in a house we stayed.

Comments he screams,
"I will save you, my girl!",
For the villain's role he does not play;
Justice and truth,
He seeks to protect.

Excited he gets,
On seeing virtual fireworks;
"Yay!", he screams,
Every time he wins,
Just like a kid who got his chocolate.

In the midst of the chaos he creates,
Parathas he waits for, to gobble them down;
"What a beautiful life", he proclaims,
Food and gaming,
A guy's perfect dream,
Come to reality,
And achieve it he did,
In a random house on a shady lane.

Teenage pregnancies.

Bulging belly,
Naked hand,
A hundred eyes followed her wherever she went,
No celebrity she was,
But a teenage mom to be.

An abortion she was advised to have,
Not only by her parents,
But even by the guy,
Who gave life to the form,
Growing in her body.

Hormonal changes,
Weight issues,
Mood swings,
That pregnancy brought along didn't bother her,
For all she could think of,
Was holding this precious bundle in her arms.

She refused to kill her unborn child,
She didn't want to give it up for adoption,
A time when she should be in school,
At home she sat,
Speaking to the baby in her tummy.

She narrated stories,
Listened to good music,
She reduced her stress levels and ate good food,
For the baby that thrived on her,
Seemed to be her future.

She could feel,
The heart beat in sync with hers;
Feel him/her move in her tummy,
Swimming in her body's fluids;
She could feel him/her kick,
And see the impression of his/her feet on her tummy;
Nothing gave her greater joy.

Teenage pregnancies,
Are they wrong? Are they right?
Are they ethically and morally bad?
Ambiguous questions these are,
For the heart and mind speak different languages,
And what is right to one may not be to the other;
But for now,
She was happy to wade in happiness,
Even without knowing if her baby was a girl or boy.
